HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick dates and purchase course.
You can begin this course whenever it works for you, up to one week from the time of purchase (that way you'll have time to get your tools). While you must commit to the start date, the course runs at your own pace.
After purchasing, put the date on your calendar, invite your friends to join you, and get excited.
2. Gather supplies before class.
Download the tools & supplies list from here and purchase the tools you don't have or just go the easy route and buy the tools from us (there's a button to do so at purchase). Either way, we will send you supplies like pads, cork, brass cap felts, springs, etc. so you'll have everything needed for class. Then, gather a couple of flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trombones, french horns, or trumpets. If you can have more than one on hand, you'll have more opportunities to practice techniques.
3. Complete coursework & attend office hours during class.
The day your class begins, you will receive your coursework membership login information. Follow the course's online step-by step instructions and videos, practice what's being taught, then attend one-on-one office hours via Zoom. During these six sessions, you will have the opportunity to show your work to a certified tech and ask questions.
4. Continue learning after class.
This course is self-paced, so you can move through material at a speed that works for you. You'll have access to the content library for life--which includes more articles than what we covered in class, so there's plenty more to learn! This course comes with the option of six live one-on-one sessions with a repair technician, but these must be utilized within one year of purchase. A certified tech will always be available to answer questions via the help desk. If you are interested in repairs for other instruments, discounts may be offered due to overlapping content.
